For the elders among us,

it was stopping Hitler. For all of us now

it is saving the planet. So says Thomas

Berry, and I think he's right. Our

response, if joined with what Van Jones

and others are calling environmental

justice, can, even in these dire economic

and environmental times, lead to a future

that is humane, exciting, promising, and

liberating.
