Children’s RE

Nursery – Infants and toddlers get to know their peers in a safe and nurturing environment led by professional childcare providers.

Preschool-1st Grade – Love Surrounds Us helps children look at the seven Unitarian Universalist Principles in the context of beloved community of family, school, neighborhood, and church. Children engage in large group and individual activities that emphasize the love they receive and give in community.

Location: Olympia Brown Room, Religious Education Suite

Special Information: Please retrieve your child immediately following the worship service.


2nd-5th Grade – Children delve into the congregation’s monthly themes through hands-on activities that are designed to engage them on many different levels. Emphasis on the monthly theme allows children to explore topics in greater depth and provides families with an opportunity to explore the same theme in worship, children’s religious education, and at home.

6th-8th Grade – Heeding the Call builds on this group’s passion for justice. It will help them develop tools, such as empathy, courage, abundance, and joy, that they can use for justice-making and for day to day living.

Summer Religious Education – During the summer one religious education class is offered for children in preschool through 5th grade. Children 5 years of age and younger are welcome in the nursery, and older children and teens may participate or help in RE or attend the service.
