In our effort to find the best match, our congregation will host a Beyond Categorical Thinking workshop and worship service at UUCS at 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday, January 5th and 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 6th, respectively. Carol Carter Walker, an experienced UUA trainer, will come to UUCS and facilitate a workshop with the congregation and the search committee to explore how we can avoid letting prejudice become a part of our search process. The next day, Carol and Rev. Alexa will lead a Sunday worship service. This weekend is yet another way for us to put our faith into action and improve the odds that regardless of identity, we will find the minister who is the best match for us and will serve us well.
This event also provides the congregation an opportunity to more fully participate in the search process. The lessons we learn and the feedback you give will guide the search committee in finding our best minister match.
Light refreshments will be served before and after the workshop and during breaks.
