Meet Our New Settled Minister!

Aileen Fitzke

We are pleased to announce our new settled minister! Aileen Fitzke impressed us with her enthusiasm, her passion for ministry and special interest in youth, religious education and social justice. She will be coming to us from Ithaca, NY, where she is completing her internship at the UU Congregation of Binghamton, NY.  She will be ordained on June 2 at the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca in Ithaca, NY.  Aileen completed her Masters of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School in 2018, where she focused on Peace Studies. She also holds a BA in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University and a MA in Feminist Spirituality from Immaculate Heart College Center, Los Angeles, CA.

She has been married to Karl Fitzke for 30 years and they have two young adult children, Nick and Joe. Karl is currently an Audiovisual Preservation Specialist for Olin Library at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. They both love nature, gardening, out-of-doors and will be moving from an intentional community, Ecovillage, where they have resided for the last 16 years. Aileen is also a writer and a fiber artist.
